CIVA — Civic Intelligence

See What Moves Across Public Systems

What does
CIVA
do?

  • CIVA helps organizations find clarity in the public sector when the information is scattered, hard to follow, and difficult to act on.
  • See what is moving: We organize programs, people, funding paths, policy shifts, and public signals into one clearer view.
  • Find what matters: We connect the right information to the right opportunity, partner, or decision point faster.
  • Act with less waste: We help teams move from fragmented searching to clearer next steps.
◉ What that looks like A team trying to navigate government does not need more tabs. It needs one place to see what is changing, who is connected, where the opportunity sits, and what to do next.
✦ Where it shows up first → Federal health intelligence and opportunity tracking
→ Strategic funding and roadmap work
→ Research-to-community translation
→ Public-sector navigation for organizations that need a clearer path
THE GENESIS

Before the software, there was the field.

CIVA wasn’t born in a boardroom. Founders Ackeem Evans and Jermaine Hartsfield met in 2018 while serving as Peace Corps volunteers in Albania.

Working with local municipalities, embassies, schools, and NGOs, they saw the same pattern again and again: the information existed, but the path was broken. CIVA was built to make that path clearer.

Research to
Real-World Use

MaineHealth & Tufts CTSI: We helped connect research to the organizations doing the work on the ground. In a two-week pilot, nine Maine health organizations validated their data, received matched research, and joined a lighter, more usable feedback loop.

Frontline Insight
to Leadership

Morehouse School of Medicine: We helped bring community health worker insight into a stronger health equity framework. The goal was simple: make sure the people closest to the problem could shape what leadership saw and acted on.

Funding Roadmap
for Mobility

Westchester Transportation: We built a strategic funding roadmap to help identify, vet, and prioritize grants and contracts tied to accessible medical transportation. The result was a clearer path across federal, state, and foundation opportunities.

Pathways to
Scale

Lewis Latimer & Guiltless LLC: We mapped near-term funding paths to help innovation and digital inclusion efforts move from idea to funded opportunity. The work focused on helping leadership see where the strongest paths sat first.
